it's only been 2 days since the last Yu-Gi-Oh episode for the Alcatraz Arc (can't okto just carry on showing season 4?), and i'm missing the whole show again. in fact, i forgot how annoying Kaiba was, and how hilarious Joey can get. and that's precisely why i'm watching episode 190 online. it's the KC Grand Championship Arc. the least important arc within the whole series, but good dueling fun nonetheless. episode 190 was mainly about Joey dueling Ziegfried (guy with long pink hair. buhh. and one of kaiba's many enemy. apparently it ain't easy to be the best.) and partially about Kaiba getting pissed (again) about someone who's out to sabotage his tournament. (which reminds me of his welcome speech for Battle City: Welcome duelists to Domino City. or rather, should i say, welcome to MY tournament.)
i miss watching Joey's antics! hehe. he's the funnyguy in the show, and never fails to liven up the situation. kaiba makes viewers laugh with his dry unintentional/crude humour. but seriously, YGO will be boring without these two dudes. (that's why i'm laughing like mad now at joey, and at kaiba's evil laugh in ep 196. seriously. quotes acoming. episode 194 is one of the best and hilarious kaiba episode ever.)
and mokuba! mokie is less of a kiddy and all grown up by the KC Grand Championship. well, if you're stuck with a brother who always seems to run himself into unwanted trouble, and you get kidnapped countless of times, you'd grow up fast too. hehehh.
episode 194(after kaiba confronted ziegfried)
kaiba: but since i'm a nice guy, i won't have you arrested for trespassing and fraud. under one condition: YOU GET OUT OF MY LIFE! AND TAKE YOUR BAD HAIR WITH YOU! (incidentally, yugi's grandpa touched his. heheh) and mark my words. if your overpriced shoes step anywhere near me again, i'll destroy what's left of your pathetic company!
ziegfried: you know if you let me carry on with this tournament and win it, you'll never win your title back!
kaiba: (looks set to punch the guy to inferno. but our CEO is not the fist fight sort of guy. then he smirks and crosses his arms) huh. i'm throwing you out because i DON'T LIKE you, not because i'm scared of you. you know, i promised myself i wouldn't duel in this tournament. but since i have the chance to embarrass you, THOSE PLANS HAVE CHANGED!
ziegfried: (after tossing the coin to decide who goes first) oh, hurray for me. but i think i'll let you go first, Herr Kaiba.
kaiba: thanks. i never knew you were so kind. i guess i'll have to return the favour.
ziegfried: there's no need.
kaiba: i insist.
episode 196(after kaiba defeats ziegfried, humiliated him on live worldwide tv and walks away to pick up his briefcase from his assistant.)
kaiba: give him the best seat in the house so he could see what he's missing out. HAHAHAHAHA! (a rather smexy evil laugh. then stops and reverts to a straight face) i'm funny. (walks away)
i swear, if you see their reactions at the moments they were saying it, you'll crack up as well. kaiba does an excellent job of getting on other people's nerves while remaining civil (and while keeping us viewers entertained.)
but kaiba looks different from the KC Grand Championship onwards. or maybe he's just got older. makes perfect sense. can't have your brother aging and you don't. hehe.
man, i thought evil marik was irritating, other than being psycho. turns out ziegfried von schroeder is the most annoying character ever, with his ridiculous fine upbringing that intercedes into every single aspect of him - from 3 servants serving him at one time, the overpriced shoes, the expensive suit, the bad hair and a rose as a trademark, and a lavender jet. i mean, geez. kaiba's richer than him and you don't see kaiba having 3 servants to serve him a drink or care a lot about what he's wearing. and, kaiba has better hair and fashion sense. even his dueling costume is smexy alright. beats wearing a white suit which everyone knows he's not fond of.
but eh, he could have chosen another dueling costume instead of having another similar one in grey. smexy as it is, it'll be nice to see him in another dueling costume. or maybe the writers decided that he's had enough costume change already? after all, he's the only one with so many outfits. his blue school uni, his green suit + blue coat, his studded purple coat, his dueling costume, his white suit. does his outfit as when he was High Priest Seto in his past life counts?
